Mary Potter Foundation presented with $20,000
The recipients of the past three years Annual Art Show proceeds, the Mary Potter Foundation, were presented with a cheque for $20,000 at a recent Club meeting. This brings the total over the three years to $57,000 which has enabled them to purchase a new “outreach” vehicle and special patient lifting equipment.
Patients who choose to spend their last days at home are provided with drugs and other services by an officer from the Mary Potter Hospice who uses the “outreach” vehicle for this purpose. The lifting equipment provides patients with comfortable and safe movement and ensures safety in the workplace for the staff. Leos Club
The Lions Club of Glenside is very proud of its Leo Club at Glenunga International High School.

Fund-raising
The Leo Club organises fundraisers during the year that supports local and international charities or needy organisations. Lunchtime cake, pizza and drink stalls have provided these funds. As a result, they have supported the Salvation Army and an organisation working to establish a school in Sudan.
Projects
The Leo Club has undertaken a variety of short term projects in the community including a “backyard blitz” where members worked to clean up an elderly residents back yard.
Working with the Lions Club of Glenside
Students have been very well supported by the Club through the provision of an annual senior student scholarship and mentor support in the running of the Leo Club. Such things as meeting protocol, business links for fundraising and links to Burnside Council and other community organisations have been provided.
Other Activities
Supporting the Lions Club of Glenside at their annual Art Show,
Participation in the Youth of the Year quest,
Leo of the year and at Lions district Conventions.
The success of the Leo Club is very much determined by the support provided by the Lions Club of Glenside.
